Soc 101-101 Introduction to Sociology is a 3 credit course with an introduction to basic sociological theories and methods for studying individuals, groups and society as a whole. Different people behave differently in similar situations. Sociology attempts to understand the basics behind that deviation. Topics include socialization, sociological research, family, culture, education, gender, sexuality, race, age and many other factors shaping the society, with an emphasis on the Candian society.
