Water and Waste Management.

Water is one of Canada's precious resources. We create energy with it and we use it for sport and recreation. We also drink it and flush it down the toilet.

In this course we will discover where Prince George's drinking water comes from, how it is treated and distributed to residential, commercial and industrial clients. We learn about the materials and methods used in constructing water utilities. We'll also consider the severe consequences when things go horribly wrong. We’ll examine just how environmentally friend are our energy reservoirs? How far reaching and how sever are the consequences. We'll explore where our wastewater (sewage) goes, and current and trending technologies in treatment processes. Finally, we'll study how Canada deals with it's garbage, and the current state of the game of recycling.
