In Moodle you can send a notification of receipt to the learner before the instructor marks the work by turning the option on. The student would have to have this also turned on within their profile. For a more detailed explanation please visit:

FireFox has disabled ordinary CUT and Paste functionality. This affects copying from Word documents and pasting that into Moodle's editor. If one uses the ordinary cut and paste functions from the menu Firefox will generate a warning and a link to this site. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Midas/Security_preferences for advanced computer users following the instructions will enable one to cut and paste.
